Veterinarian

I graduated in 2013 at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, and then did an internship in internal medicine and surgery from 2013-2014. I always had an interest in animals, medicine, and science, and loved every minute of learning to be a vet! I’ve been working with Riverview for about 10 years as a student, since they were a smaller clinic at a different location. I loved the staff and the warm friendly atmosphere, so when I finished school in 2014 it was my first instinct to see if they were hiring. Luckily, they were and I got to join the team. I’m very interested in emergency medicine and radiology, as well as feline medicine. My first pet was a stray barn cat named Bashful. Not many people say they love coming to work every day, but I definitely do. I enjoy meeting new people and working with clients to figure out what’s wrong with their pet. It’s like putting together a puzzle, and those puzzles are different every day. It’s never boring! I admire the compassion my teammates have for going above and beyond in terms of care and expectations for patients and clients, it’s truly inspiring. Fun fact about myself is I have a travel bug and love going to new places locally and across the globe. I’d try anything once!
