Dr. Tanya Perry
Veterinarian
Originally from Nova Scotia, I graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island and the Atlantic Veterinary College with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After graduation, I practiced in Connecticut for 21 years before moving back home to join the Riverview Animal Hospital team in early 2022.
My passion in veterinary medicine lies in performing surgery – orthopedics, soft tissue procedures and dentistry. I also have a keen desire to continually advance my education and master new techniques.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my twin daughters, travelling, hiking with my dogs and reading. I also enjoy the sounds and smells of the ocean, or being deep in the woods, away from city bustle.
Fun Fact: I have two Irish Wolfhounds, Winnie Jane (8 years old) and Lucy (3 years old), a Great Pyrenees/ Maremma mix named Sam (3 years old) and 3 cats: Georgie, Ken Malm and Purrachio.
