Alexis Prentice

Hi, my name is Alexis and I am a Registered Veterinary Technician at the Riverview Animal Hospital.

Originally from Hastings Ontario, my family and I relocated to New Brunswick to live on a farm and pursue a simpler life. After graduating from high school, I completed a Veterinary Assistant Degree at Eastern College which led to me working in shelter medicine for a year. I then continued my education and went on to achieve my Veterinary Technician degree and registration licensing.

My goals will always be to continue to provide excellent care to all animals, alleviating animal suffering, educating clients and promoting public health. One of my favorite parts of veterinary medicine is client education, advocating for my patients and knowing that there’s always something new to learn! I have a special interest in emergency and critical care, nutrition, and animal welfare.

I currently have an 11 year old Chihuahua named Dash, a 4 year old tuxedo named Dedos and 2 special needs cats who are paralyzed in the hind end, Valentina and Fish! When I am not at work you can find me in the gym or outdoors with family and friends!

Fun Fact: I am a sucker for cats with special needs.
